This new Kannada film ‘Raja Hamsa’ (nothing to do with brand of KSRTC Rajahamsa) takes audience with good journey of emotions that is also filled with cultural clash of village and modern city life. The village culture is represented by BC Patil and Dr Sridhar holds attention on the changing trends in the modern society. This is a comeback film for yesteryears heroine Yamuna (of Chinna, Modada Mareyalli and many others in Telugu).


‘Raja Hamsa’ has a pyari love story between village girl who comes to study agricultural science to city and a boy in city falls in love. The popular television actress Ranjini alias Put Gowri is female lead in debut film, Gowrishikar of ‘Jokali’ Kannada film is protagonist.


This is Jana Mana Cinemas, 10 friends have joined together to produce this film. It is a complete three years effort says debut director Jadesh Kumar.


Jadesh has shot for this film in 58 days. He is roommate of hero Gowrishikar. In Thirthahalli and Bengaluru shoot was held for maximum portion. 10 days of shoot is for remaining talkie and one song in Kaashi, Kedar and Uttarnchal. The team of ‘Raja Hamsa’ came for publicity completing 90 percent of shoot. It has plans to release in December this year. Hamsaksheera Nyaya is what Jadesh points on his title.

Veteran actor Dr Sridhar a famous bharatanatyam exponent says this is a film with refreshing thought. It has literary strength – Mannu and Modern days are focused brilliantly in this film he says.


Ranjani Raghavan plays village belle but residing in city she learns the new culture. Like how Gowri role in Putgowri has given respect, the same thing is her expectation after release of the film. I was in shoot for maximum days in this film. There is equal importance to hero and heroine in this film. She has Bharatanatyam and classical music as her strength. How to carry over the culture of her father is her agenda in the film.


Harshaarjun is having a potential role, Yamuna veteran actress has appeared as mother with some stuff. She has acted for 22 days in this film. She is a modern mother.


Among ten producers Sukesh from medicine business and Andappa Bingi a class one contractor and PS Raju agricultural scientist were present at the media briefing.


The first look of the film was released at the Citadel Hotel.
